Now let’s talk about some ways you can keep your infused water tasting crisp and fresh!
For best results, ingredients shouldn’t stay in the water itself for more than 5-7 hours. So, infusing over-night is fine. To keep your infused water longer, remove your ingredients before decomposition starts and keep it refrigerated. The tasty result will last for up to 3 days.
Distilled water isn’t necessary for a better tasting infusion. However, we recommend it for tea as it allows for the more subtle, delicate flavors of your loose-leaf to be expressed without the additional flavors found in bottled or tap water to interfere with them.
Remember to give your bottles a thorough cleaning to avoid contamination from bacteria or mold. A solution of 1-part white vinegar and 1-part hot water is a wonderful, chemical-free way to sanitize them. Allow the bottles and inserts to soak for up to 20 minutes before scrubbing with a bottle brush.

Until next time, happy hydrating!
